Kashi was thrown into the lake and swallowed by Angie. Inside, he found Asa, who had been trapped there losing her mind for a while! Kashi was in no hurry to leave (a break is a break) but he ended up asking Angie to let them out for Asa's sake. Feeling like she owes him, Asa decided to follow him. He wasn't expecting that, but took it in stride! And now they can be a comedic duo

Can I just say: Fucking props to DBD for having a couple not get together after kissing. Like I can’t think of another example in a show right now where two characters have kissed and expressed interest in one another and then been like: “as much as I like you I am not currently in a healthy enough place to be with you right now. I want to stay friends until I figure myself out.” Like that is the mature thing to do but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it and it’s just another example of how amazing this show is at writing complex relationships.

Pirates of the Caribbean AU as promised: Edwin as Elizabeth Charles as Will Crystal as Jack Sparrow

Charles was fished out of the ocean by a ship Edwin, and his father the Governor were on as a young boy, same as the movie. The two grew up together with Charles being taken in by the blacksmith and learning the trade.

Rather than an engagement, Edwin's father purchased his commission in the Navy. This is terrible for many reasons but most of all because it would take him away from Charles! Charles can't even join as a lower ranking member of the Navy because he's understandably afraid of boats and the ocean! This is Edwin's fathers attempt at making a proper young man out of Edwin though.

I haven't thought muuuuuuuch farther than this. Obviously the plot happens.

Charles is having a VERY BAD WEEK between his best friend getting kidnapped, and then facing his worst fears to get onto a boat and INTO THE Water. But he teams up with renowned pirate legend Crystal Palace to rescue Edwin. If anything the undead pirates are a relief compared to everything else. At least he and Crystal get along after he got her to put down the vicious pirate person for a minute.

Plus I love the image of Edwin and Crystal stuck on a beach together yelling at each other, a la "Why is the rum gone?"

i get such a sense of primal envy when looking at edwin’s clothes up close because god you can just tell his coat is real wool and made to last and not cheap flimsy mass produced garbage and auggagghhhh that was just STANDARD in his time. by no means am i saying i was #borninthewronggeneration because i like having vaccines and household appliances but. man. to have a personally-tailored coat like that that’d last for years and years……. and fabrics of fine thread-dense quality………. if only

After this I believe Billy and Tommy will go to become Billy Kaplan and Tommy Shepherd that's where M'kraan is taking them. But it's interesting that Tommy remembers Cresskill but Billy admits he doesn't remember, honestly it seems like Tommy knows more then Billy and that's so interesting. when they became Tommy Shepherd and Billy Kaplan will they both forget? Does Tommy Shepherd actually remember all of this? It's revealed he can do magic in AA too, did he maybe make himself not remember? Maybe he vaguely remembers cus in children's crusade he picked older twin like he knew. I need an expansion on this story like yesterday!

War Crimes is a weird story with some ideas I hate and some I love, but the part that keeps sticking in my head is how weirdly fixated Leslie and Bruce are on Stephanie's daughter?

I guess this kinda makes sense, but how did Leslie even find the kid? How does she even know Steph had a child?

And than Bruce swoops in with this:

And I get Bruce is projecting, but also Stephanie is not that child's parent. Like, sure, she cares about her daughter in an abstract sense, on her death bed she did ask Batman to make sure she was okay, but the baby has no idea who Stephanie is and likely will never even know that she died.

It feels like the writers are telling us that Steph dying wasn't enough of a tragedy on it's own. That a 16 year old girl dying a truly horrible death wasn't enough, it's sad because Stephanie's unnamed daughter will never get the chance to known her. Leslie can never make it up to said unnamed daughter.

They never actually talked about Stephanie outside of abstracts either. Leslie talks about why she did it, Bruce talks about why she shouldn't have, but neither says a word about who Stephanie Brown even was. They don't talk about how the world lost something without her in it, or comment on how much good she could have still done, or how she didn't deserve to die. The only one in the whole story line that tried to do that was Crystal, but even after she tells Batman off for it he turns around and has this conversation with Leslie in which he doesn't talk about Steph. He only talks about her child, and how it wasn't fair to take Steph away from them. Never once do they say it wasn't fair to let Stephanie die simply because she deserved to live.

characters who have genuinely good intentions and motivations and care about their friends/companions while also lying to those same people with nearly every breath are like playdough to me- you can squish and stretch and shape them infinitely bc the question of "where does the lying end" can be applied to so many things and go so many ways and has basically infinite answers, so every time im presented with such a character i feel like a dog that's been handed a bone bigger than its head
